Proper nutrition is necessary to optimize Koi's beautiful colors. An adequate amount of spirulina microalgae in the feed supports the saturation and intensification of colors and the clear separation of color zones. White surfaces appear clear without an unpleasant yellowish tinge.
Spirulina has more than 50% protein content, contains all essential amino acids and also many unsaturated fatty acids. In addition, algae contain a number of vitamins and minerals. For example, astaxanthin enhances colors, especially in red zones. Astaxanthin is a pigment similar to vitamins, strengthens the immune system, is an antioxidant and supports fertility. Only the natural, highly bioavailable variant of astaxanthin is used for sera feed. sera mainly uses Haematococcus algae as a source (60.5 mg of astaxanthin per kg of feed). However, ingredients such as krill and spirulina also contribute to the supply of astaxanthin and other important pigments.
Koi Professional Color consists of two components: a feeding ring and a feeding core. This is achieved by using a special co-extrusion manufacturing process that allows components that have been processed differently to be combined. The ring contains high-quality natural ingredients such as spirulina and Haematococcus, which ensure unique colors and suitable nutrition. The core contains, among other things, essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements for healthy growth and a strong immune system.
Colored feed can be served all year round at a water temperature above 8°C.
